Niyee Discipleship Mission's passion lies in the mobilization of local leaders, viewing them as conduits that align their communities to accomplish God's purpose in all aspects of life. Recognizing the unique strengths of local leaders, the organization believes that they can effectively address challenges that others may have struggled with. By leveraging their deep understanding of communities and undergoing training with the necessary tools, local leaders can become powerful agents for transformation, uplifting the people of North and North Eastern Uganda. To achieve this, Niyee actively organizes and trains indigenous leaders to handle the specific needs of their societies in the Acholi and Karamoja sub-regions.
The expected outcomes of Niyee Discipleship Mission's training effort include:
1. Prayerful Life: Instilling a life of prayer, recognizing the importance of seeking God's guidance in all endeavors.
2. Instilled Fear of God: Fostering a deep reverence for God, ensuring that leaders operate with a strong moral and ethical foundation.
3. Discipleship: Creating a culture of discipleship, with the goal of making disciples who, in turn, become disciple-makers.
4. Mission Outreach: Empowering leaders to engage in mission outreach, contributing to the transformation of their communities. 5. Gifts Identification: Identifying and nurturing the unique gifts and talents of indigenous leaders, emphasizing a call to service and commitment to the transformation of their communities into well-developed, God-fearing, and focused citizens. Niyee's approach extends beyond evangelism, encompassing all aspects of humanitarian work, including education, support for orphans, empowerment of women, enterprise development, medical assistance, and more. By integrating the Gospel into these areas, Niyee aims to produce lasting fruit that multiplies and creates a holistic transformation. This comprehensive approach also facilitates the work of other organizations, as indigenous leaders can more efficiently and cost-effectively access their communities compared to non-indigenous missionaries. In essence, Niyee's strategy evolves around empowering local leaders, recognizing them as key catalysts for community development and transformation in alignment with God's purpose.
